Glass: Zalto Bordeaux Popped and poured, drunk over two day. High quality dry Riesling on full peak! Beautiful combination of chalky mineral notes, clean ripe fruit and lively acidity. Long and wonderful tension. 93

Very exotic fruit with lots of pineapple and mango, some passion fruit and peach, dried apricots. Very juicy and fruit-driven with noticeable residual sugar. Did improve with air, finished long with a salty minerality. Very impressive wine of high quality - but not my cup of tea to be honest (too sweet and lacks of complexity).

This 2013 Stromberg GG from Schäfer-Fröhlich was firing on all cylinders: Exotic fruit (pineapple, some mango), ripe pear, apricot, some rose petals, hints of flintstone. Lots of pressure, perfect acidity, a salty touch and just a sensation of residual sugar. A little more tamed after a day spent open in the fridge but to be honest: I liked it better in its opulent phase. Will keep my remaining bottles for a bit more but this was a lot of fun!

Tasted green apple, peach, apricots, stones, minerals, with a tinge of pineapple sweetness on the finish. Slightly too sweet for me today. Nonetheless fresh and enjoyable. Nice acidity. Open now.

My first Stromberg GG. Great wine. Nice balance of yellow fruit, tropical fruit, present acidity and stony tones with a long salty finish. Very mouthfilling.
But I expected it to be a little bit more dry....
