Last one of a case of six. Absolutely fine, textbook riesling. Yes, you can find more refined or powerfull or complex, but this is unbeatable for its price. Excellent riesling character, well balanced, all you need, would buy again !

40 year old vines. Straw-yellow color. Colluvial gravel, sand and stone soil. Pretty nose that features white floral and honey notes. The palate is elegant with fresh acidity and a bit of minerality. Everything is integrated nicely from front to back. It just goes down so easily.

We had our favorite tacos for Sunday lunch and just had to open a zingy unoaked white (always a perfect pairing). First Alsace Riesling in a while - this was pale gold in the glass with light, delicate (yet creamy!) notes of honey, grapefruit, ripe green apples, pineapple and chalk. Medium-bodied, not bone-dry, and very acidic! Mostly blood orange, lime, and minerals in the mouth with a stony, saline finish. Balanced, elegant, complex nose and mineral palate - great with food!

Second bottle out of a case of six, the one before was drunk 13 months ago. This has gained a lot in weight and personality. While not up to grand cru level, this is a very nice riesling from old vines planted in a good vineyard (Herrenweg between Wintzenheim and Turckheim). Pleasant surprise, will even gain some more I guess.

Pas le riesling le plus expressif mais frais, équilibré et complètement sec.
