rich porty alcohol accompanies a little herbaceous note and ripe plummy fruit, lots of alcohol derived prickle. rich, dense, concentrated, glycerol fatness, dark berried fruit, plenty of baked fruit richness, talc textured tannins are in the background. Better than I expected

Splash decanted and consumed over a couple of hours. Slight dried fruits, ripe blackberry and plum, a little herbaceousness, touch of savoury spice. In the mouth it's softly engaging, those dark hued fruits take precedence over the more desiccated notes, the barest tannic whisper. Alcohol warmth is present here as well though not intrusive. Hmm

Show wines decision making (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. Plummy, a little black berry, green notes, Asian five spice, earthy. Juicy, tangy, plenty of alcohol heat, fruit muted, softly textured tannins. Meh.

From Coravin. Aromas red and black plum, alcohol lends a peppery prickle, a little biscuit, getting a little charcuterie here as well. In the mouth it has juicy acidity, grainy, grippy tannins on the mid palate, muted plummy fruit and are lost beneath those tannins that do persist. a little alcohol warmth on the finish.
