  Quite dark, only slightly translucent garnet with slight age on the rim. Nose is medium intensity with tart cherries, cranberries, lots of clean red fruit, but with a very nice backbone of savory thyme, wet earth, touch of tar and smoke, mushrooms and some crushed black pepper. Palate is medium to medium+ bodied with earthy minerality, some cherries and strawberries. Finish is long, not too complex but with very pleasant grippy tannins. Likely to improve over a few more years, but already drinks well. Good stuff!
