  • Drank at "Lot no. 3" in Bellevue, a casual restaurant. Opened and poured. It was very acidic to start and that dissipated within a few minutes. Red, plumb color with bright lights in the sight line of the wine through the glass. Very beautiful. Red, dark fruit up front and as the evening progressed the wine became mellow and smooth with a very long finish.

We enjoyed this wine with cheeseburger sliders and an extra order of Maple bacon combined with bread crumb french fries. This was a decadent, small plate meal that was very complimentary to the wine.

Can't wait to try additional bottles of this wine as I'm sure the expression will change with different food and as the wine ages over the next few years. This small production winery near the Allison Resort in Willamette Valley is making pinot, syrah and port that is exceptional in quality, taste and accompaniment. This winemaker knows what she is doing!

  • Our first bottle of the 2017 Le Sud. It was wonderful. Consumed with a Grilled Cheeseburger with no bun and a Mixed Vegetable and Chicken salad. Moderate acidity up front that dissipated as it decanted. Great red fruit with a long finish! Tannin is there but integrated. Powerful on the palate, but smooth, which gives this generation more body than I remember at the winery tasting. Very different than the Le Nord of the same year. Love both of them but the higher bodied Pinot of LeSud gives this wine an edge over its brothers, sisters and Chehalem Mountain neighbors. Can't wait to try the Estate wine next!! Can't thank Brian Pollack enough for introducing us to the wonderful owners of this small production, quality winery in Willamette Valley.

  • Did not try any as it was wiped out before I got home. The bottle smelled good - sir cherry, some vanilla hints and light smoke. I bet it was good

  • Gave it almost two hours of decanting. Strong alcohol profile, a little odd. But then it gets really good: vanilla, light smoky notes, lots of sour red raspberry and cherry, very nice!
