One of the positive Barbera‘s i had recently. Bouquet of black cassis, some cherries, lemon zest, rosewood and some tamarind. Full bodied but also fresh with intense acidity, this Barbera needs some food. Definitely not a boring undefined specimen, but hiding its 14,5% quite well. Should probably even gain more complexity with further bottle age, like lots of Scarpa wines.

Deep color Barbera, nose of tree bark and tobacco leaves. Zesty acidity typical of Barbera from Asti in my experience. Black fruit gives it a loooooong finish. Chewy but not boring, the intense acidity keeps it interesting and lively. Drinks quickly. Can age.
