  • Nose of sweet cherries, prunes and leather, on the palate, high acidity, complex, delicate, fruity, developed aromas. Hugh class Barbera, 92p

  • Previous notes spot on. Definitely northern Italian with soft tannins and fruit that really rolls out softly over the 3 hours I drank this. There is that hint of sweet something on the back end that is clearly interesting underpinned by lighter red fruits and cherries with flavors that almost group themselves rather than meld together. This wine in underrated in its category.

  • Color is deep red with flashes of brown. Nose is very intense. It has red flowers, blackberries, cherries and a lot of alcohol, then woods undergrowth and earth. In the mouth gives sensations of cherry confiture, blackberries, red fruits and it's very meaty, like raw ham. Brings a note of tamarind syrup and a feeling of liquor, which does not seem like a defect, but more like an interesting feature. All this I felt when the bottle was open since three days, at first it was not that resolved: it seemed like drinking cherry confiture with a lot of alcohol. For sure this wine has to age...
