Aroma: blueberry, cherry, violets, mint. Palate: nicely balanced berry and savory flavors. Ripe blackberry and black cherry flavors just shy of jammy. Mineral and roasted meat flavors with herbal notes. Good acidity and surprisingly soft tannin. Very good primary showing. Perhaps an early drinker, though it has enough structure to suggest age worthiness as well.

Tasted at a trade tasting in NYC. Made from the grapes grown on three plots in Serralunga, fermentation and maceration for 7-10 days then aged in 24-hectoliter Slavonian oak casks for 24 months. This is classic Barolo...tar, roses, earthy cherry. Nice wine! Solid QPR.

Still a baby. Even decanted an hour or two it seemed tight and uninclined to show itself.
