PnP, tasted over two days. From pre-1860 vines transplanted to Langmeil’s current vineyard site. Dark magenta, deep extraction but not heavy. Spice and French oak on the nose, palate of dark berries balanced by bright acidity and fine tannins. Drinking well now with air but will last many years. Great QPR!

Drinking during the covid lockdown. This is a classy wine from the stables of Langmeil- a quality Barossa winery. This cab is oaky, very light cherry and flat tannins. Lovely stuff

Barossa be consumed (Carriageworks, Redfern): Pepper, sweet spice says oak in charge, biscuit, toast, blackberry. More of the same on the palate, slightly sour, gritty tannins but with a jubey note. Hmm.

The fruit is off 70+ year-old vines. There are layers of rich blueberry, blackberry and milk chocolate. It is intense and voluminous with excellent chew to the long finish.

Tasted at the cellar door.
Earthy bouquet with some nice gentle spice and some tannins evident.
Advised by the cellar (Caroline) that this will only improve up to 15yrs. NB 2016 was a good vintage.
