  • Ok - so I can be wrong … and this wine proved it.

I previously thought this was drinking at its peak and couldn’t get better. Moreover, I thought I should polish off the last bottle by Christmas last year.

Well, the additional time in the cellar has paid off in spades to deliver a wine so sophisticated, characterful and stunning!

Following a reasonably short decant (45mins), a deep and complex nose is evident that seduces you into a trace that leads you deep into the glass.

Slightly browned edges with plenty of red fruit on the pallate, it is round, restrained and not overdone in any way. The quality of the winemaking is completely on display here.

I would go as far to say that this is one of the most enjoyable red wines I have ever had.

As enjoyable as it is in its younger years, it truely shines at 15yrs.

Can this get any better with more time ….. I don’t think so (albeit I would guess it could keep for another 3-5yrs) …. but I have been wrong before!!

  • Perfection.

Drinking at its peak, this wine has developed beautiful secondary characteristics, it won’t be getting any better from here.

Need to drink the remaining bottle by Christmas.

    What a joy

  • One of the smoothest most tasteful Shiraz I have ever had. Was wonderful with steak.
