First day delivery. 1,5 hr decant. Lingering heat from 14,5 % alcohol. Jammy fruit bomb, but with good structure and aging/ improvement potential. Could take it up with Napa CS 2-3 times the price. Great QPR. Not the pinnacle of sophistication, but certainly everybody’s darling in the next 5-7 years. Will get more.

Colour: cassis, blackcurrant, mulberry. Juniper berry, nightshade leaf, lavender. Dark, inky. Liquorice, slightly medicinal. Some charred oak. Elderberry. Palate: cassis. Lots of ripe blackcurrant, elderberry, blackberry. Juniper berry, nightshade leaf, lavender. Liquorice. Dark, intense. Rich, intense, but elegant. Charred oak. Fresh berry-like acidity; smooth, fine grained tannins, slightly drying. Rich, complex; classic Barossa Cabernet. Long on palate. Really lovely. Full bodied, 14,5% alcohol. EDIT - left open overnight, and hadn't changed much. I'd love to see this again in ten years' time; sadly, however, I only had one bottle :-(

Comes across more refined than 1,5 yesrs ago. Heat is gone, more finesse, more structure. This is definitely moving in the right direction.
