  Dark ruby. Dried meat, roses, dark plums, bread crust on the nose. Rich, penetrating aromatic dark fruit on the palate with a lovely acid frame and a strong aromatic tannic finish. Excellent with pan fried halibut in a garlic anchovy caper sauce. Carries its 15.5% alcohol well.
