Finally my first glimpse in one of the most renowned Gods of natural wine. Low intervention, no sulfites added, unfined & unfiltered. 3 months with skin contact, aged for 36 months in large oak casks. Medium amber, slightly hazy. Medium+ intensity aroma of bruised apples, cinnamon, honeyed dried dandelions, dried orange peel, incense, old furniture, vax. Medium+ body, juicy, pleasantly tangy structured, flavours of bruised apples, dried peaches, herbs, orange peel, medium fine sandy tannins, high chewy acidity.

Something unique. Orange wine. Wanted to try this after reading about this "rare" varietal on The Wine Society. Full bodied wine. Dry. On the nose this was a bit cider like? with orange zest. I seem to find this characteristic with 'naturally' made wines.

This is drinking really well at the moment - orange peel, mandarin, lemon pith, bitter orange notes on the palate. Really good length to it too.

Bien aérer, au moins deux heures. Très très bon. Plutôt corsé. Salin. Amande. Figue. Pain.
