Nothing particularly unique or outstanding here, but this is certainly a varietally correct and enjoyable Chianti. It’s also a solid value at less than $20.

Popped and poured. Aromas of cherry, tobacco, licorice, forest floor and dried herbs. Black and red fruit, tobacco, herbs with ripe coarse tannins on the palate. Medium to long finish. Medium to full bodied. Served with lasagna.

PnP. Enjoyed at a local restaurant with a wood fired oven pizza. Aromas of dark cherry, herbs, and an earthy note. These follow on to the medium bodied palate, along with juicy acidity and some drying tannins. Could use more bottle age and/or decant time to soften. Reasonable QPR at <$20 retail.

Red, touch of brick/orange. Aroma of cherry, rose and toasted nuts. Tannic cherry and oak flavour. Lovely
