  • Tasted double-blind. The 2015 Movia is a departure from the typical Sauvignon Blanc experience. This becomes immediately apparent when presented in the glass; showing a hazy golden color that makes me believe this bottle has seen 10-15 years of cellar age. On the nose, I was reaffirmed that this bottle was likely quite old as it was showing notes of canned peaches, butterscotch and sherry-like notes. On the palate, marmalade and cashews. The high acid of the wine was holding everything together. It turned out that this wasn’t all that old, rather made in a more oxidative style. Charming in its own unique way…I really dig this!

  • Coppery-Gold color, with good freshness on the nose and med/med+ bodied palate. Not so sure I'd have called this as SB in a blind, but it was light appetizers, and in that light, it was enjoyable. Nothing suggested there's a hurry to drink this, though not really sure it's going to improve from here, either. My price was $23, and that's quite fair; a fan of the Movia wines for two decades now. recommended at this price, or less.
