Deep purple, inky. Not a hint of brown yet. Blackberry juice on the nose; quite intense. Pepper and spice on the early palate, with black licorice evolving and then a mass of berries. Low in tannins but the acidity is keeping up with all that fruit. Perfectly balanced. Excellent, but maybe just a little over the hill ?

deep purple/black opaque and viscous, big nose of violets/lavender, plum/blackberry fruit, spice smoke and rocks, big lush fresh berries in mouth with medium tannins and high acidity backing a very long mineral driven finish. like a big merlot with racy acid. outstanding with food. venison, beef, stews, braised meat, pork roast, hard cheese. 3G (Virtuoso, 30.00)
