PnP heavily candied on the nose. Ripe prunes, blueberries and girded with hints of baking spice around the edges. On the palette sweet, but drying tannins and while the palette drops off reasonably fast it does so quite evenly. With a few minutes of air the candied nose gives way to some heat and a hint of green, but also some underbrush as it might in a Barolo. It's hard to call this classic. It is a bit hot, and the tannins a bit harsh, but not out of the range of what a Zin can provide. Good, yes, great no. It's no 87 Old Hill!

Decanted about an hour, very well balanced, lots of black fruit, very rich with a long finish. Paired with pizza and lighter Italian, held up nicely. Drinking very well right, but not sure I’d hold it for much longer, just don’t see it getting much better.

Hour decant. When smelled blind my fiancee guessed an Amarone.
Big shisha tobacco note to me. The combo of sweet black fruits with the brooding earthy/bitter note of tobacco, chinese five spice, prune, raisins, vanilla, cedar, black tea.
Paired nice with a 60 day dry aged ribeye.

Long day decant, consumed cellar temperature. Dark ruby, garnet in cor Loads of all spice, dark plums, sangre. Big bodied wine. Lots of oak. Longish finish. Tastes like the nose. The wine falls just a little short for me. A little too one dimensional but that may change with time. It's a really nice wine, and maybe priced a little too high for what you get. Still enjoyed the bottle. Cheers.
