N. Bandaid, leather, tobacco, dark (graveyard) soil, bark,
T. Tomato (concentrated), black current, bread, not very elegant (maybe a bit tired), short to medium finish with some cooked fruits
I have read with great interest what others wrote about the wine and where it was grown, that the PN was used for a Bollinger Champagne and that this 2009 vintage is the first year they produced a still wine of it. Lots of money (ca. 100 Euro) for a great name, we have let it settle and breath for 2 hours now and still… it gets worse :(

On the nose get a little bit of unpleasant funk (flawed?), red fruits as well. Flavors of the same but do get notes of tar and some strawberry, decent acidity little bit of smokiness is nice but not quite worth what I paid for it will revisit it tomorrow and update. Day 2 funk is gone (so not flawed right?) and nose is red fruited, flavors are of red cherry, not as much tar as yesterday, much more fruit forward on day 2, has a certain tartness as well. This is much more full bodied on day 2 and is much more enjoyable without the funk, though I do miss the tar. Still don't know that it's worth the price, but I no longer regret purchasing it. Perhaps this just needs more time or a good decant? Did not decant, pop and pour, was in bottle the whole time.

Steep hill outside of Aÿ with white chalk. 4ha patiently acquired one by one form 50 different owners. For many years Pinot Noir used for blending La Grande Année Rosé, but from 2009 started producing still wine again. This one stood out from the others by showing that it comes from a cooler climate. Higher in acidity and thinner on the palate. It's only aged 8 months in oak barrels. It was weaker than others.

Gave away absolutely nothing. Felt like a £8 of Pinot noir. Is it that early? I can’t see it changing that dramatically as it literally gave nothing no length no depth the most expensive mistake in my wine drinking life. Avoid like the plague

Killed a baby...started to release perfumy nose of spices and mushroom after 2hrs in decanter. Very tight, elegant, high acidity with moderately long finish. Lots of potential but will take at least 5 more years
