  Pale tawny. Pronounced. Ethereal and scented. Rose, cola, tar, dried cherry and orange, prune, tomates, tabacco. Oak. High acidity, high tannins, fine. 13,6% abv. Long and complex Outstanding++
  
  NB:
  36 months in french oak
  97% Nebbiolo, 3% Vespolina
  
  DOC size: 8 hectares.
  West of Gattinara.
  Soils: more iron-rich and gravelly. Generally, this makes the wine taste more of rocks and minerals.

  truffle scented embarrassment of raspberry. Alpine, black earthen. Minty pencil. Antique syrup. Sour walnut.

  Exactly the same as previous bottle - read, clearly past its prime. Improved somewhat after 60 mins of air contact, but even then, it was mostly acid. I imagine my bottles (purchased at auction) were not properly stored at some point.
