  Tastes of earth, loads of cherries, and spices aged in some well-worn leather saddle bags. Very classic, authentic, and well done Sangiovese; this may last another 4 - 5 years. Excellent value.

  Farven tæt og mørk, næsten uigennemsigtig, sortrød med begyndende brun tone. Meget klar. Duften pæn åben med tydeligt modent præg. Der er charcuteri, kaffe og chokolade. Sure kirsebær. Der er ingen rigtig bitterkerne. Minder mere om en moden stor Bordeaux. Smagen har også tydelig modent præg med indtørret frugt og tobak. Masser af syre og noget tannin på tænderne. Relativ potent og fylder meget. Pæn stor kompleksitet. Lang eftersmag. Er fuldmoden nu.

  C'est vraiment un vin de repas ! En dégust pure, à l'ouverture, c'est pas génial, tout juste correct, et l'air+ la nourriture lui font un bien fou. Il fait le job, sans tirer au-dessus de sa catégorie. Prune, un peu de fumé, une jolie texture, c'est un bon chianti, que j'espérais supérieur étant donné le millésime top. Mais c'est vrai que l'accord avec la cuisine italienne est superbe. 89+

  From half bottle, need a quick decant. Very earthy wine with some red fruit.

  Pnp. Bit stern to start but then blossomed. Plenty of good material and will last. Needs decant time next bottle.
