From Coravin, lots of mineral, herbs, black fruit. Smooth, well balanced acidity. On day 2, decanted for 1-3h enjoying throughout. At some point the fruit profile shifted to blueberry and white pepper emerged in the finish. Great value! i would buy this again.

Jan's in town (Kevin and Vicki's house): Drank a small glass over an hour. Nice herbs and red fruits, good balance. Some purple fruit peaks through once in a while. 89-90.

Jan's Back in Town (Rocknroller's (Kevin & Vicki's Place)): Very dark red color with a purple hue. Decanted for 2 hours. Drank a glass over 40 minutes. Fairly green on the nose and palate, sappy dark berries and plum, chocolate, vanilla. May get a bit better over another couple years.

Just over a year since my last bottle and I couldn't resist a taste of this to see how it's evolved.
Compared to my previous note, the barnyard and 'animalistic' initial notes have subsided, revealing a much more balanced wine. The fruits were more apparent earlier on, evolving over the evening with enhanced complexity.
Absolutely pleasure-filled bottle. Couldn't keep my hands off the glass.
I think this has evolved faster than I expected, and would say it is nicely within it's drinking window now. I didn't buy enough of this, so I will hold off on my last bottles but would suggest others open this up with their next simple dry-aged hamburger.

Starting to come together. Animalistic meaty notes that remind me more of Cornas than Crozes. On the palate the fruit emerges with classic black and blue fruits. Will age/drink very well over the next 5-8. Great value.
