tasted blind. good fruit here but i found this wine a bit tired, and perhaps past its prime. others found it to be opening with time. Moi, non. the 2009 showed a lot better. a disappointment

One of Paul’s BD dinner wines, he served in 2nd bottle of red after Fourrier’s 1er cru. This was comparable more noble in nose and palate. A good wine.

Sultry bouquet of tanned leather and woody spices. Dark fruit hidden behind a firm and powerful core. Wonderfully enjoyable now but will certainly shine in the years to come.

Primary, rich and a mouthful today but still providing hedonistic pleasure. Loads of black cherry with good polish and round edges. Very little textural or flavor nuance at this stage. Upside from here.

Some Wine Tasted at the Zachys La Paulée Auction; 3/7/2019-3/8/2019 (Le Bernardin Prive - New York NY): Small glass, brief note. Lots of red and black cherry with savory Asian five spice. Just so brooding today, it is teasing us with its 2025- very good (92-93 point?) potential.
