Italian QPR's (Ciao Bella patio): I'm not familiar with this type of wine. It reminded me of a cru beaujolais, with crunchy tart red cherry, high acid, medium tannins and some earth.

This showed up at our wine group dinner and now high on my shopping list. Bright semi translucent red. This is packed and yet precise. Exceedingly fresh & pure red fruit with layers of spice, citrus and other intriguing harmonics on both the nose and palate. A Corvina Veronese dominated blend along with 20% Rondinella + 10% from Molinara & other native varieties. All estate & organically grown is likely what sets this apart from everyday Valpolicella. Aged in 20hl Slavonian oak . Alc 13.5% Something different to further explore and, I will. Loved it! Thanks RJ!

Smells like an Amaro notes Patrick. Rainsin and fruit and actually quite balanced to it. Balsamic, Super complex really interesting nose.

Monthly Tasting Group: Italy It Is (Ciao Bella, Mpls): Brief note. Rich, ripe raspberry, cherry, soil, a little on the herbaceous side for me.
