Salon Ficofi Paris walkabout tasting and dinner, no detailed tasting notes. Fresh, grassy, typical house style. Good, but not as complex as the Chassagne.

Flash decant. A bit tight at first and needed some air to put on depth and round out. This is still a baby and needs a few more years to fill out. Still a great drink with lovely acid and the classic Ramonet weighty style.

Drank in a lineup with '17 Hubert Lamy, Marc Colin, Joseph Colin and Ramonet, all from En Remilly.
The Lamy was the most elegant / austere of the four, with nice notes of lemon curd, butter, cream and more elegant oak use.
The Marc Colin was quite similar in style in this year, also on the elegant side. It did lack a little bit of finesse compared to the Lamy.
The Joseph Colin and especially the Ramonet showed great intensity and power (but for my taste were too broad shouldered to be fully enjoyable). The Ramonet showed some reduction, and no typical fennel / spearmint notes.

Young, but approachable and providing lots of pleasure. Good complexity for St-A. Upside from here.

A lovely wine with bright white stone fruits and a solid core of dense mineral infused flavors. Elegantly textured and drinking nicely.
