Wasn't expecting much so pleasantly surprised. Nose was muted but pleasant. Palate was mildly flavorful with some cherry and spice. Not a great QPR but no regrets.

By the glass at restaurant Kobba, Viking Glory, between Stockholm and Turku. Medium ruby colour. Mixed ripe berries and toasty oak, with good acidity and average length. The round tannin is present and lends structure. There is nothing special about this wine, and it does not have a lot of depth, but it is enjoyable and food-friendly, and paired well with our salmon dish. Still, other than in a restaurant by-the-glass setting I would not buy again.

Just meh. Some nice cherry, little sandalwood spice, red licorice...smooth to boredom...there really is no depth or character to this...would be a plain and simple Bourgogne...expected a little more from Village? Nothing off-putting...chilled it down and drank it like a Rose'...and that seems to fit the bill! If it was under $15 I'd ok it...but close to $30, no way!

Lots of nice, darker sour cherry fruit, some interesting creosote complexity, good structure and balance, shows a slight bitter note on the finish, but overall a definite winner at its price point.
