Quite heavy and rich, much coal here, dense wine; PB thought it was a more or less dead parrot, I liked better on day 1 - on day 2 it shows prunes galore. Tasted vis-a-vis Clape & Reynard, this certain lacked in elegance, yet it it a true blooded Cornas. Drink up. #PB#Kandestederne

Super savory with tons of green olive and twiggy herbs. My wife and friend really liked it; I thought it could use a bit more fruit. $100 at Inn at Little Washington.

Still quite youthful in color, dark, nearly opaque garnet, with a nose of newish leather, some crushed berries, bit of sandalwood; nice, fresh medium dark berry fruit, bright acidity gives it a dark raspberry note, some slightly rustic tannins and a little chalk come through on the finish. Could probably use a few more years, though hard to say if the structure is going to resolve.

Popped, some poured off, breathed in bottle 45 minutes, poured. With my initial sips, this was firing on all cylinders. Funky, balanced, refreshing, a little rustic, but in a great way. Came back for another pour 90 minutes later and it had fallen off pretty drastically. Fruit had receded, previous complexity went with it, drying tannin had taken center stage. If you can catch her while she's singing...
