Pale crimson. Looks older than 2 years. Cherry and apple on the nose. Certainly varietal. Clean. No discernible tannin. A little light and simple. I do hope that Te Mata persist with this though, and now that Beaujolais prices are going north this may become something more than a special interest topic in future.

A simple juicy but well-made Beaujolais copy that in 2019 again proves very good value for money. This seems to be heading to be a very good lunch wine this coming summer.
Good concentration of crunchy red fruit, ripe from the reportedly excellent vintage in Hawke's Bay but there was, too, a hint of green stalky edge. No matter, everything else seemed classic 'easy-drinking'. Lovely long red fruit flavours. Ends near-dry.
VFM?.....costs £12.50, feels much more than that, I'll get some more in for the summer. Bargain.

Ruby, pale colour. Nose of cherry cola, flavours of red cherry, raspberry and rose hip and a lovely fresh finish. More Noir than Gamay. Lovely.

La version Gamay de Re Mata. Très belle fraicheur équilibré. Au début un peu acide mais un peu d'air et le fruit frais apparait.
