Te Mata (Dan Murphy's, Lane Cove): A touch of whole bunch ashiness, a little black cherry and a pinch of oak spice, savoury underpin, a little jubey note. Juicy, jubey, a little cherry, nominal burr, soft and fleshy, time shows a little sourness. Feels slightly dilute. Meh.

Hawkes Bay Tasting (Prince Sydney, 40 Hansard Street): Super clean, bright red fruits, a little earthy and ashy note, savoury whole bunch spice and a slight jubey underpin. Sourly juicy red cherry fruit with a little savoury underpin, tight tannic burr, medium length. Okay
