Light-medium bodied, brick red/orange. Dried cherries, turmeric, green stalk, dried rose petal. A savoury meatiness, a slight dusty rustic feel. Lots of grippy tannin. Textbook Barolo. Would need more intensity to move to an elite level but this is pretty much exactly what I hope for when I open a Barolo I've never had before.

Vinum Piedmont tasting: Liked the fresh pour of this. Traditional, down-to-earth Barolo that wasn't pretentious, a very classic expression. Quite meaty that reminded me of a Gevrey. Became disjointed and lose structure with air.
