This wine really needs a decant - the nose feels quite muted for the first hour or so before it opens up. Quite a lot of dark fruit/cherries on the palate but not as inspiring as I would have hoped (or expected).

More approachable than the big brother 2015 VCC, but still pretty superficial on the palate. Purple and red berry fruit dominate, skirting the mid palate and tapering off to a fuzzy finish.
This was PnP and a rushed service, so no score this time. If anything, know that PnP is not the way to go here.

Again, I marked after all the other tastings, so I cannot be more accurate on my abilities, needed to set up the radar :)
Roughly same blend as VCC Big Bro...
Nose is smoky, blond tobacco, opulent fruit, minty, peppermint, and black pepper...
Palate is smooth, delicate, deliciously refined, it is high class wine Hera again, most refined and tasty than many of the Chateau we had
No Bargain either anymore

A week in Bordeaux (Mouton, Pontet Canet, D'Issan, Langoa & Leoville Barton, SHL, Arbo, Pavie, Fleur de Bouard, Cheval Blanc, VCC, Figeac); 5/21/2023-5/26/2023 (Left and Right banks of Bordeaux): Tasted @ the Chateau with Alexandre Thienpont. Best 2nd wine of our Bordeaux trip this week by far. No where near the '15 VCC we tried afterwards, but I have to say this was better than a few of 1st wines I tried this week! Elegant, balanced and nice tannin structure.

Pulled after 2014 VHR & 2012 La Chapelle
A bit of a disservice pulling this late in the night and after two heavy hitters. I love this 2nd from VCC so I'll refrain judgement till next time.
