Same bottle as Melvin. I hated this wine. It did not help that it was served next to the Ramonet Chassagne which was the antithesis of this style here. Some earth with dark fruit on the nose, awkward medicinal notes. Very extracted feel on the jammy mid palate. Some harsh tannins lurcking behind the fruit. The alcohol (15.5% as per label) did not come through that obviously, but I would expect this wine to start picking up oxidative notes in a couple years.

Wines from regions starting with B: My extra. Opened at lunchtime for dinner. Still young and primary, quite modern in style surprisingly for the producer. Dark, extracted with prominent alcohol. Had a strange menthol note too. The MW showed his chops by nailing this as a Barbera immediately.

Amazing Barbera. more heavy, dark and complex than Rinaldi which was tasted same night. Not sure which one I prefer. Both could do. Rinaldi for the summer evenings, Accomasso for the cold evenings.

Ripe, rich and glossy red fruits. Some herbs. Opulent albeit simple. A fun wine more than anything

Balsamic, dark fruit, cranberries and earth. Quite rich and deep for a Barbera. Fun to drink. Best to pour it into a decanter to serve.
