I respect and love some of the Trapet wines (1er cru Aux Combottes, Chambertin) so wanted to like this but it was pretty unremarkable — closed nose, good primary fruit but not much depth, nuance or finish. Pleasant enough but could mistake for a solid Oregon Pinot at half the price.

Excellent.
