A simple wine that lacks complexity from the wines from Greece but with a 4-year bottle age, it is showing at its best. Some green apple, spice and lime on the nose, it is easy on the palate with notes of peach, citrus and apple. Lovely freshness and a well rounded finish with hints of saltiness and minerals. Wonderful aperitif wine.
Drink now to 3+ years.

Tasted blind. Eventually, this was one of the 2-3 varieties left but we never guessed its location. Showed good freshness and decent varietal character. It just lacked some of the complexity and textural richness found in the better Santorini examples. Interesting experience.

Had side by side with Assyrtiko from Greece. Pale, pale lemon, clean. On the nose pear, apple, lemon, lemon peel, wet stones. Bright and refreshing on the palate, high acidity, 12 ABV, med (+) finish, med (-) body. Very well made, quite enjoyable.

Random wines blind tasting (Oinoscent): The wine shows medium to high intensity in the nose, with rubber, plastic and lemon. In the palate a lot of petrol notes, high acidity, residual sugar, very fresh, with pear and green lemon, medium finish

Lots of lemony flavour: preserved lemon, lemon verbena, a touch of olive oil. Full-bodied with a touch of oil, but also very dry and a bit chalky.
