light crimson with cloudy appearance, the scents hint at burnt orange and dried cherries and strawberries, softened tannins, brightly focused, racy energy, flavors are quite simple, showing dried red fruit and mineral on the tongue, a touch of black tea on the finish, this is about the feel and energy and comes with a soulful touch, elegant, drinking at peak

An almost forgotten bottle. Dark and quite dense. Nose opens a bit shy, but soon overwhelms me with dried strawberries, cherry, tar, anise, truffle and a whiff of soy. On the palate, just a lovely, slightly rustic melange of dried red berries, earth and spices. Mellow and very long, with perfectly dusty tannins. So good!

This bottle never came together. No obvious fault and not tired but just rather dull. There were some interesting secondary notes on palate but overall disappointing.

The first of a case from long-term storage. This is a lovely mature Pinot that walks the line between maturity and still fresh red fruit and floral aspects ( strawberry, cherry and rose ) in a very complete and satisfying way. There is no excess acidity and just a lovely finish of game and earth backed by the finest of tannins. A very enjoyable 96.
