Deep purplish, very extracted. Very big nose immediately on pop and pour - black currant, blueberry, pencil lead, mace, slate. All very clean, fresh, pure. Beautiful satin mouthfeel. Not intense as tje color/bouquet might suggest, succulent, short mid-palate, lingering acidic berry finish. Hard to leave the glass on the table very long on this one.

Académie des Cinquante Piemonte tasting (Restaurant Woods, Leiden, Netherlands): A more serious wine than the Giacosa Bussia 2005, more depth and structure, well balanced, minerals, tarry touch. Good wine.
