Drinking quite well now, this is a textbook mature Bordeaux without any singular defining or overwhelming characteristics. Cedar wood, pencil lead, and bell pepper on the nose, with some kitchen spice and a bit of olive on the palate, leading to a medium (30-45 second) finish. Tannins are well integrated but present and slightly sweet. Would buy again for the $10 I paid for it in 2010, without a doubt. This particular bottle was kept in an actively cooled cellar from release, and the very long cork was impeccably well kept.
89 now, no further upside - drink now + 1 year.
