  The in between for the 2001 and the 2006 - not quite as intense at the 2006, not quite as refined as the 2001. Not quite as fruit forward although it’s there in the background. More dried leaves and almost a crisp autumn day. Drinks nicely.

  60 year old vines. Over 90 days maceration time. Only made 780 bottles in the vintage.
  
  Beautifully dense and concentrated aromas with the world's most wonderful perfume that lies above and gives ultimate pleasure with densely lighter raspberry core, dried orange peel, cool spices, sweat and wonderful tone of old tar. Fantastically balanced mouthfeel where everything just melts together like it's cream. Fabulous mouthfeel of lighter super-concentrated red berries, orange fruit peel, cool rosehip tea and hints of tar on an insanely concentrated and beautiful finish. Fruit, acidity and tannin structure are fused together as no warriors exist. This is ultimate harmony in bottle. Sublime wine. 97 points.
