  This has moved on quite a bit over last couple of years in a positive way. The character is very similar with strong earthy tones on the nose with balsamic & dark cherry but has put in some weight and added some balance. Bags of character on the palate with ripe, dusty tannin, high acid all in good balance. While you could hold onto this for many more years, personally I think another couple of years swill see this enter prime drinking window.

  (Molsino ist die Spitzenlage von Conterno in Gattinara, wo die Reben auf 350-420 Metern über Meer in einem Amphitheater mit Westexposition gedeihen. 100% Nebbiolo). Mittleres Rubinrot. Nach ca. 30 Minuten Luft offenbart sich die Nase wunderbar, ein Nebbiolowie wie aus dem Bilderbuch, würzig, mit roten Kirschen, auch Pflaumen, ätherischen Noten, florale Töne, hervorragend. Im Gaumen auf den Punkt gereift, dennoch frisch, feinste Tannine, saftige Frucht, der Wein zeigt Rasse und Würze, verbindet Energie mit einer noblen Ruhe. Sehr elegant, langanhaltend, frisch und balanciert im Abgang. Top aktuell mit Reserven bis mindestens 2033. 94 vvPunkte

  During a GE/AUT blind tasting, pirate wine. Expressive nose of torrefaction, clay, rich but not oxidative. Strong tannins still but of good quality.

  - Blind, as a pirate at a GE/AUT tasting
  - Very red fruity, light roasted flavours, roses, clear but too much tannins on the palate. The potential for a wine with great complexity/deepness and not too much wood is absolutely there.
