WineFanatic Tuscany Offline (Vancouver, BC): Tasted blind – Darker red in colour. This jumped out with a nice nose of manure which eventually blew off leaving notes of cherries, something and toasty oak. In the mouth there are notes of cherries, earth and plums with lots of structure yet this seems more approachable than the Vigna La Casa and I think it’s got more potential too. Drinks fairly well now but will be better in 3-5 years. Excellent. 90+

Tasted blind. Textbook Brunello acidity and leather. Floral geranium nose, red fruit. In the mouth quite chewy, lovely sour cherries and great grip.

Smooth Brunello: ripe cherry, raisin, plum, prune, soft acidic note, earthy, medium body, at its peak, velvety long aftertaste. Dining at Cy.
