Decanted 30 minutes, drank half the bottle over 2 hours. Once again, I found this fine, just rather boring. Easy-drinking, reminds me of a really good chianti, not a 14 year old reserve Brunello. At least the wife loved it for some reason. I have 3 more bottles to assess over the coming years.

A deep body of Sangiovese, with lots of melted wood and indian spices. I picked up a bit of what seems to be exaggerated petrol, again most likely from the wood treatment. I remember Janice Robinson's remarks about freshness on old wines and would always scratch my head. I totally understand what she was referring to. This really lacks freshness for my taste. Not the best QPR for an aged Brunello here. Drink sooner than later.

This was pleasant, but a bit thin and uneventful. Got it at a great sale price of about $43 all told, which is amazing for a Riserva from the '10 vintage, but still.

«Темная сторона Брунелло»©️ Светлый гранатовый цвет, прозрачное. В аромате чёрные подвяленные ягоды, дерево, ваниль, трюфель, сливки, животинка, корица, кофе, специи. Во вкусе плотное, ягодное, высокая кислотность, интенсивные танины. 93/100
