Spicy with earth, cherries and herbaceous root notes. Soft and subtle with nice fresh acidity. Dark cherries and raspberries dominate w pretty good finish for this young entry level Burg. Better in a few years. Drink 2023-2027.

After you open the bottle, allow the wine to sit in the glass or a decanter for 20 mins…it will make a world of difference. This is the review I wrote after my taster glass:
I went back and forth between scoring this wine and marking as “flawed or defective”… Pale ruby in the glass with a nose of tart red fruit including cherries, pomegranate, cranberries. Somewhat typical and nothing which “sounded the alarm”. On the palate, things went south. There is a smooth entry and a long tannic finish, but in between the wine is very astringent and the tart red fruit from the nose is expressed as sour and unbalanced.
After the wine sits: it is quite enjoyable for a ~$20 red burgundy. The time really does make the difference between a toss away wine and a pleasant drinker. With time, the nose gets a hint of chocolate and vanilla. The palate is more balanced and the finish is less astringent.
