Definitely a warm vintage. Fresh cut grass, ripe lemons, guava. Some pepper, texture and grip on the palate, breadth and a long finish. Acidity sings as you’d expect - there’s maybe a touch of residual sugar on the palate: in isolation it’s pretty nice, just not what I was expecting.

On nose: faint sea salt and warm stones. On palate:follow through of the above flavours, and after a 2 hour decant,a ghost of guava, intense minerals and clean uplifting acidity, with a delightful salty aftertaste , a sleek linear wine made for shellfish and oysters...can age and possibly flesh out , slightly for a few more years.

When opened this was dull and slightly bitter, improved after an hour open though not by much. There’s a lot of lime and decent acidity but a short finish and none of the vibrancy from green fruit flavours and slate that would expect. Perhaps a duff bottle or, looking at previous vintages’ reviews, a sub-par year.

Faint nose and a singular wine, with great acidity, some salinity. Lemon, some crisp apple.
