This warrants a few hours of air to let the fruit come through, fairly tight even then, wild berries and smoke, nice acidity and finish but could do with a year or so more to loosen up

Most of this bottle used for braising some meat with 2 glasses for me. It is translucent light to medium ruby crimson. The nose shows lots of interesting stuff…burnt embers, roasted meat, white and black pepper, plums and berries. The palate is similarly interesting and bright with acidity, very modest tannins. Bright and fresh overall with emphasis on the pepper spice and the roasted, burnt notes. I find myself liking this more with each sip. It’s a really interesting wine from the Canary Islands. It feels like a great wine to have with all sorts of light to medium fare, seafood and shellfish included. I had it with American style shrimp sushi roll and it worked well. I think Burgundy lovers would find this interesting, it has some similar palate density and color. Great QPR.

Very strange nase (reductive and birnen notes), better on the palate (cherry, raspberry) medium+ acidity, medium- body, medium- length. Too young? Addendum: Obviously, significantly better on day 2, cherries, almond, acidity better integrated
