The supper club eats and drinks well in Connecticut. (Bill's.): Fairly tight on the nose, but shows plenty of meatiness and rusticity on the palate. There's an edginess to the tannic structure and the wine is rather lean in profile, which seems on par for an '88, but it does have solid red fruit levels to go with the earth, spice and blood character. Low A-.

A little barnyard stink that blew off after an hour in the decanter. Solid burg that probably peaked a few years ago but is still drinking quite well.

Only had a small taste of this but remember liking it quite a lot. Looking forward to opening another bottle and spending some more time with it.

Yet another beautiful '88 drinking extremely well right now. No hurry to drink this one but no reason to wait, either.
