This was very good; natural cork seal; pale color with a lovely nose of ripe orchard fruits, crushed rock, acacia, just a tiny hint of spice and baked lemon. Ripe on the palate, but with good underlying acidity to keep it humming along. Walks a nice balance between a taut and mineral style and the older ripe fruit and fat Meursault. Drinking well now.

40th anniversary tasting (L'Esprit du Vin - Axelborg): My notes from this fantastic gigantic tasting are in general extremely short (because of the many wines) but with ratings. We spent a whole day tasting and tasting quality wines.
This wine: Morey reminds me of Domaine Leflaive. No wonder, Morey is former winemaker from Leflaive.

Med lemon color. Initially dominant by gunflint, saline, light touch of honey and grilled nuts. Then more citrus fruits and apricot note emerged mingling with subtle sweet toasty oak. Medium body with superb balance and a long fine acid line providing backbone of this elegant Meursault. Minerally and nutty focused and intense mid palate, lingering with hint of leesy and buttery creamy flavours. Again all wrapped by the fine acidity. Very fine.

Beautiful wine, about as good as it gets for ~$100 these days. Lovely sharp acidity and minerality.
