Drunk at brilliant corners with tuna maki and chicken karaage. Stole the show - so much complexity with pear, rhubarb and custard, and layered honey. An amazing minerality and texture which kept it lingering on the palette. Beautiful Chenin - probably the best I have had

I've had this wine several times and always love it, but this was my first time tasting the 2019 vintage. I thought this was the best example of this wine so far and as good as any bottle of Chenin blanc I've drank. So bright, with exceptional tension and minerality. Rich and tropical fruit balanced with razor sharp acidity. So good!!

Holy wow, this is as good as it gets. If you are able to go along with the idea that Vatan is the benchmark for sauv Blanc, I would argue this is the benchmark for Chenin. It is better than Richard Leroy. By far. It has this minty, ethereal just delicious freshness with a top note of micro greens and exotic citrus. Lots and lots of honey. Pure as a mountain spring. Hard to describe, but in a very good way this gets at the essence of truly great Chenin Blanc.
A private dinner (Restaurant d'Oude Schuur, Sint-Martens-Latem, Belgium): Tasted blind. Rich style, not very easy to determinate, seems to have a bit of residual sugar, lemon verbena, minerality, perhaps slightly uneven on the finish. Not a perfect bottle? Certainly not as good as the 2018. Not rated.

Needs a bit of time to open up and does better with cellar temperature vs room temperature but when it does this is oh so pretty
Extremely light on the palate with white tea, lychee and peach notes in an ethereally light minerally finish
The 2018 is still better but this is so good
