  Easily one of my favourite single vineyards from Vacheron, this is muscular, deep and structured. With aromas of ripe stone fruit, gooseberry, lime peel, fennel, crushed rocks, wild spring herbs and a little smoky. The palate is chiseled and muscular, with notes of ripe nectarines, citrus, savoury notes and wet stone, the mid-palate is incredibly structured, stony and tense, with refreshing acidity and a long savoury finish. Wow!

  Superb Sancerre that convinces on its balance. Not a vibrant example of the terroir, but the lees aspects add significant complexity and promote a suave mouthfeel that is not dissimilar to high end Burgundies. The herbaciousness of the sauvignon is certainly apparent, but is ripe and is only a part of the effect on the palate. Beautifully modulated finish, with what appears to be a significant ability to develop with age in the cellar. 93+
