  • Lacking a little the freshness and acidity; overall a bit too sweet.

Fruit is nice for the 3-4 seconds it lasts - quite short finish and somewhat dissapointing.

By no means a bad wine, but would not buy again.

  • Prior bottle was almost 10 months ago and my notes were very consistent. The wine is moving forward positively, but evolving slowly which ins't surprising, given the quality of the vintage. Nose is dominated by a lot of lemon as well as lime, with white apple behind as well as that smoky, flinty mineral quality. Nearly medium bodied with tart white apple, rounded white apple and bright pear upfront. Mid-body has started to open up a bit with tart white peach still the primary note, but the white tropical notes are gaining prominence. Acidity and tart white apple and tart white tropical on the back and through the finish. As the mid-body gains complexity and the transition between mid-body and finish continues to open up and balance with the rest of the wine, it will truly come into its own. I'll save my last bottle for Q1 2025, but based on these notes, the wine has several more years beyond that in front of it.

  • Really spritzy at first, to the extent that when I double-decanted the wine back into the bottle it fizzed over the side, like lemonade! First time I've seen that from a 'still' wine. That aside, the wine is beautifully balanced and restrained, with a light nuttiness to the nose and some gentle green apple on the palate. Finish is firmer than the midpalate, tangy and long, and encourages another sip. A real change to when I tasted it EP, in summer 2021, which was a much richer, more tropical showing.

  • Ripe green apple, a note of the ocean - oyster shells if I'm being charitable, garum if I'm not - a hint of musk, spice. Just subtle notes against what is quite a light and lean wine, persistent on the finish.

  • Lemon, lime and white apple on the nose. Close to medium bodied (8.5% ABV) with white apple upfront with some white pear notes as well as some brightness behind. Gains depth through the middle, adding tart, white peach along with tropical hints, but overlaid with very good acidity and tart whitefruit. The contrast between the developing fruit through the middle and the tartness behind worked quite well. Should improve over the next few years and I'll plan to open my next bottle in Q1 2024.
