100% Meunier from a solera containing wines from 1992 - 2020, and disgorged 2021. Really deep orange colour - I could tell it was going to be delicious just from eyeing it up. Biscuity and full bodied, yet with lots of gingery pizzazz, and ever so drinkable despite its richness. A distinctive and charismatic wine.

Annual birthday WWC hosting. As normal, 1 sparkler, 3 whites, 4 reds, 1 dessert, all presented blind.
I knew nothing about this producer when I purchased, but I feel like Pinot meunièr can become magical when given age/healthy amounts of reserve wine. This is from a 1992-2017 solera. 100% meunièr. 5g/l dosage.
Faint salmon-tinge color to this. Aromatics aren’t overly expressive, but there is some honey roasted cashews and spiced pear. On the palate, this is absolutely delicious…loads of fruit (as meunièr normally shows) with golden and red raspberries, golden delicious apple, more spiced pear, nutty and baking spices. Creamy and layered, it has a profile of “freshly aged”, with the reserve wines coming in to play at the finish, broadening out the wine. No need to hold these. I should find more.

Lovely pale pink. Fabulous nose of raspberries and pistachios-so expressive. The palate has breadth, complexity and wonderful drive with some interesting notes of dill and apricot creeping in. Not exactly a crowd pleaser, more an esoteric charmer, but either way this disappeared quickly.

Lovely bready and biscuity nose. Nutty as well - cashews on nose and palate. Light Strawberry and raspberry fruit on the palate. Some citrus core. Really long saline finish. Complex. Excellent!!

Nicely balanced with nutty flavours in the front, notes of caramel, blood orange and lemon with good minerality. Felt advanced, but suppose this it what 100% meunier does taste like with a couple of years of bottle age. Very delicious
