Barolo 2018 (Bottega Coco): Pot pourri, red cherry, a little savoury note, a little cranberry, floral top notes, touch of chalkiness. Medium plus intensity acidity, red hued fruits, grippy, slightly coarse flour textured tannins are persistent all travel long assisted by slight alcohol warmth. Simple but yum.

From half bottle, great to see under Diam. Needs a good 3 hours to open up to reveal its floral, citrus and leafy undertones. Despite its 14.5 abv, has elegance in spades and sublime balance. A quietly spoken nebbiolo.
This is a pup, but drinking well now with air. Drink or watch develop over the next 10. Has the balance and tannin to develop well.
Clearly in the excellent zone for me.

the 2018 vintage turned down by many tasters including the now most influential AG is not at all that poor !
here the wine shows lots of rose petals, flowery notes, with balsamic, licorice, cherry stone, salty earthy smoky character, excellent discreet yet refined nose
palate is subtle, fine grippy tannins, little red berries, cranberries, pomegranate, ... tart and refreshing, at 14,5 it is quite incredibly balanced... excellent wine
Drink if ready for a bright and tight ride... keep 5/10 for a more evaluated balsamic experience
